Valentines Love

Our first V-day together was perfect! Since I'm at night school until 10pm on tuesday, we decided we would have an early celebration on monday night! Rainey planned out a surprise dinner for me and had our good friends the Wensels help set up! While Rain distracted me, Bridgette and Christian decorated our apt with candles, roses, and had our favorite meals waiting on the table for us. My meal was the chicken caesar salad from Milawis Pizza and Raineys meal was the chipotle chicken pizza from CPK. For dessert i suprised him with sugar cookie conversation hearts that I made with some friends for our husbands. I had to do a little editing on the words...;)

On real Valnetines Day i hung out with my paul mitchell girls all day! We had a fun vday party at school and Rainey also showed up with a pretty red rose and some Sees candies chocolates:) Hes sososo cute and made my valentines the best! I know i say it alll the time but i'm the luckiest girl!

The Zelnicks held an amazing Valentines Day party this last weekend! Each couple decorated their own "mailbox" and we all brought valentines and candy for an exchange! Everyones box was super creative and cute! It was so fun to relive the elementary years of giving out fun valentines and decorating a box! Melanie&James did an awesome job at hosting! Everything was delish and all their decorations were so festive! We will miss them when they move out of Cambridge in a few months!

Me and Rain threw a bday party for our good friend Ryan Erickson! This was the last birthday he would celebrate in provo so we wanted to make it memorable and fun! I love planning parties so I had a lot of fun with this. We decided to make it sports/pizza party and I made fun sporty treats and we had tons of pizza and cake! Ryans fav thing to do is watch sports so we watched a basketball game and then all the boys watched Warrior. We had the party in the lounge at Cambridge Court and luckily they just put in a 72" TV so the boys were pretty excited about that! It was a fun celebration and we are all gunna miss E when he leaves Provo!:(

DALLAS MAVERICKS

The Mavs came into town to play the Jazz this last week! We got tickets with a lot of the Mckinney peeps and we all proudly repped our mavs championship attire. The game was a lot of fun but to be honest most of the time i was on the lookout for Chloe Kardashian! Her hubby Lamar is on the team and unfortunaly she wasnt at the game:( It was still pretty cool to see Lamar and Dirk! We were so happy to leave the game with a win and since we were pretty much the only mavs fans there we got a ton of glares and even a few naughty words spoken to us. haha

Jake was so into the game he ripped his shirt off!! haha

Raineys BFF Jared just got home from his Mission! He served in the Washington D.C. south mission and we got to hear his homecoming talk last week!

Bridgette threw Christian a super cute hot chocolate party for his birthday! She made tons of creative treats and we had so much fun hanging out with our cute friends! We love the Wensels!!!

California New Years!

My holiday break ended perfectly when i got to go home to modesto for a few days before going back to provo. Lynn Eustice got married on dec 28 and asked me to do her hair! She was a stunning bride and her hair turned out so well and was so fun to do! I did an elegant low bun updo, to match her antique dress. I also played dress up a lot with my sissys and spent a day in sf with all my siblings. My nephews are getting too big!!! Its so hard being so far away from them:( Lincoln and Christopher are so fun to watch wrestle and play with each other!

We had a very fun christmas with the Rogers this year!! I have such fun amazing inlaws! Im so lucky to get along with them so well! Texas is definitley growing on me more and more every time I go. Parties, shopping, watchhing sports & movies, hunting, and eating Tammys amazing cooking pretty much sums up what we did! Hunting was a very very new experience and im not so sure its for me... I cried when i saw 6 little piglets die:( They also spoiled me with tons of cool things for christmas! My parents got me and rain really nice camera so we have been takin some sweeeeeet pics for my portfolio!

My Golden Birthday Bash

I turned 21 on Nov. 21st this year! Golden birthdays only happen once in a lifetime so I had to go big. My two besties Kassy and Londyn helped me out so much to make it a night to remember! I had it at Alrington and made it a cocktail/classy theme. Of course everything was decorated in gold glitter & cheetah print-pintrest helped a lot with this! Rainey put his own little twist on my party by making a craps table(dice game) and teaching all the boys how to play! It ended up being such a fun part of the party! My amazing friends definitely made it a sweet party and a bday i wont forget!!

Me and rain just celebrated our 6 month anniversary!! Its gone by so fast!! Rainey surprised me that morning with my FAVORITE perfume (Viva La Juicy) and a new pink peacoat!! He is the sweetest hub in the world! I surprised him that night with a candle light dinner and an ice-cream cake i got made from Baskin Robbins! It has been an amazing 6 months together and it was so fun to surprise each other with gifts and celebrate!!

Im a very very lucky girl and got to go HOME for a week in October! I got to spend time with my lovley sissy and nephew who live so far away:( I loved seeing them and it was so nice to be home with all the girls! Caroline and Leslie are becoming such beautiful girls..and growing up so fast! For Halloween Me n rain were a Mermaid and Pirate. My senior prom dress reminded me of mermaids so i decided to bring it to Provo with me! It was our first halloween going to married parties and we had a ball!!! Im so happy that its finally my favorite month of the year!! My GOLDEN BIRTHDAY is the 21st & I get to see my family for thanksgivng in 1 week! Life is good!

E&R Hotel

This has been and unforgettable month! Our apt was a hotel for the last 2 weeks of august! So fun to be with family in our crowded little apt!! Tammy and Jeddy were our main guests but my parents also came for a few days too. It was nice getting spoiled wish food:) We got to hang out with my 2nd family (The Rogers) for a few weeks and I FINALLY got to meet Will Rogers. He had been serving a mission in Tonga for 2 years and looked a little bit shocked to be back into the real world. We all took him on a 6 hour shopping spree the next day to get him ready for the ladies at Snow college. I think he was happy to get some new clothes because he only came home with the clothes on his back! Im so happy him and Jed will be up here this fall! Jon also moved into the brand new dorms at BYU that everyone calls Hogwarts! It is unreal to me that they are dorms because the are so so nice! I mean granite counter-tops?? Really?? Ill be keeping a close close eye on him!

I have a new sister-in-law! Jacob and Jordan were married in the bountiful temple on August 24th. They couldn't be more perfect for eachother!!!! It makes me smile. I have never seen Jake smile as big as he did as he took her out of the temple:) They had a reception that night at Eldrigde Manor. It was so fun and beautiful! Her colors were yellow, coral, and green so it was very bright and summery! It was fun being one of her bridesmaids and she even picked out cute outfits for us:) Thanks Jordan!

Jake and Jordan are now in Cabo Mexico soakin up the sun on their honeymoon! WISH I WAS THERE! They will be back in Provo on tuesday and startin up at byu again! Me and rain are excited to hang out with them!

Tomorrow is the first day of school for Rain at Byu!!!!!! So proud:)

My most favorite vacation every year is staying at the beach house in Newport. This was my first year going as a married lady! Me and rain got our own room and everything! Last year at our beach house vacation rain told me for the first time he wanted to marry me so it was fun going back together as a married couple:)) We had an amazingly relaxing week on the beach. It was so nice to have a little break from school and enjoy the beautiful ocean and being with family. Rain was only able to stay for half the week because he had to keep up in his calculus class:( It was so sad being apart for the first time since we got hitched but i'm so glad i got to stay a little longer and hang out with my Porter cousins and family:)

Happy 4th!

This has been a very very busy but fun month:)

For the 4th, Me and Rainey got to watch the amazing fireworks and listen to David Archuleta and Brad Paisley at the the Sadium of Fire! We did'nt actually go inside but set up a blanket outside the Sadium! It was just as rad! The next day we went to the Provo Parade with some of our new married friends! It was fun walking around and looking through all the little shops and getting good deals on sunglasses:) Our friend is an amazing cook and grilled us hamburgers and hot dogs for lunch. YUmmmmm. We all went swimming in our new favorite pool and that night we got to set off some of our own fireworks down by the lake. It was sweet but we all got eaten alive by all the bugs.........
July 8th and July 11th are Steven & Rebeccas Birthdays!We decided to drive down to Rexburg to party with them last weekend! Leah and Janie were also in Idaho so we had a fun Birthday Bonfire for Rebeccas birthday! I also FINALLY got to see Mere and Hill! It was so good to catch up and hang out with them! So excited for Hill to become Mrs. Winn! It was also so fun to see Christopher and how big and cute hes getting. He has such a cute personality now! Steve and Rebecca are so so sweet and good with him. Can't wait to see them again in Newport! yeahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
This last Friday was a sad sad day. I had a goodbye dinner for Aimee, Tyler, and Lincoln. It was the last time I will see them for a long time! They are moving to MIssouri so Tyler can go to medical school. I'm excited for them, but it will be sooo weird not having them here in Utah with me. I am going to miss them dearly:(
TALKS......Today me and rainey gave our first talks together! I was SOOOO nervous and stressed about it! We both talked on freedom. I'm seriously so glad its over with!
In 12 dayz we will be soaking up the sun on Newport Beach with the family! Until then... Paul Mitchell isand calculus is our lives..

Me and Rain LOVE our new apt at Cambridge Court! It has been so much fun decorating it and making it our own! Its been amazing using all our gift cards from the wedding it make it look cute! We also are having so much fun going to the ward here and meeting new people! The ward is fun and so welcoming and we know we will have an amazing summer living here! Rainey is DONE with the semester and we are heading to Texas on Tuesday for our open house! yeahhhh

Wedding Bliss!

On May 7th 2011 I was sealed to the love of my life in the Oakland California Temple! I am now Mrs. Rainey Rogers and couldn't be a happier to spend a lifetime with Rain. We had a blast on our wedding day with all our familly and friends who came to support us! Everything went perfect thanks to my wonderful sister Aimee and mom for decorating and making sure everything went smoothly. I would love to update my blog more but for now I'm just having too much fun being married :)

SUPRISE!!!!! Me and Rainey are ENGAGED!

Okay heres how he proposed..

Rainey "told" me he was coming out to visit me for Valentines day weekend... Instead,he bought a plane ticket for a week earlier and came into town Feb 4th and surprised me!!! BIG TIME! His plane was delayed so he got Emma to distract me while he decorated my apt with rose petals, candles, and romantic music. As Rainey waited anxiously, hiding in my closet, I walked in the door and my heart STOPPED when i saw the candles and flowers leading into my room. As I walked into my room, the song Marry Me, by Train was playing, which couldnt be anymore perfect. I turned around and there Rainey was down on one knee soaked in sweat and shaking.:) It was the cutest thing ever. He put the prettiest ring of my life on my finger and made me the happiest girl in the world! He also set up cute heart glasses and Martinelli drinks in the kitchen. Then he took me out the the most amazing restaurant, Tuscanos to celebrate with some friends! The people at the restuarant made us stand up and everyone sang to us! SO EMBARRASSING!

Rainey was only in town for a few days so we had to do wedding stuff quick! That next day Raineys good friend Alison Worthen took some engagment pictures! She was really fun to work with and did a great job!

Kassandra Bispo also toook some pictures for us! Shes the BEST!!

We found a cute little apt complex to live in called Cambridge Court. Its right across the street from the BYU stadium! We are too excited!!!!!!!

As for wedding plans, it coming a long really good now that i FINALLY found my bridesmaid dresses. My colors are olive green, light pink, cream, and black.

Its coming up fast!

Our date is May 7th 2011... thats only 48 more days away!!!!!!!!!!!!

300 dayz of Rain

I have a cute boy. I have known Rainey for over a year now and today is our 300 day mark of being official. Soo crazy to think thats its already been that long! Who woulda known that the cute boy I met in the BYUi library last winter, would turn into my best friend and boyfriend of 10 months. I have had some of my favorite and funnest memories with Rain. We have been to 6 states together and have gone on some crazy road trips! Utah to Texas was my favorite.......lets just say we learned a lot about each other! I feel so lucky to have been a part of his life this past year and I know I have become a better person because of him. I'm so excited for all the new memories we will be making in the future.

This semester has been so hard with Rain living in Texas and me living in Provo. This has been our first ever time doing the whole long distance thing. Skype is seriously saving me! Of course having amazing roommates is a plus too! My days now consist of: school 9-4. skype rain. eat dinner and hang out with roomies, aka watch the Hills with Kassy. skype rain. talk on the phone with rain. go to bed:)

In one day I had Black, Blonde, Red, and finally after 7 hours was a Brunette again! We all had some discoveries while doing my hair aka some mistakes! ahh
Aimee was my first client! Gave her some round layers and dyed it!

Addy was a little skeptical but the cut turned out wonderful on her. Cant wait to give her some hightlights!

I am now living in Provo, Utah and having the time of my life. I live with my best friend Kassandra Bispo in a cute little appartment complex called King Henry. I go to school at Paul Mitchell and I'm loving every second of it. Its awesome when you finally realize what you love to do and then get make it into a profession. Cosmetology school is seriously so much fun. I've made some amazing friends there and the teachers are always so fun and energetic and make you so excited to wake up in the morning and go to school. Everyday I get to meet new people and learn new things about hair, makeup and how to interact with people. My roommates are so good about letting me practice on them. I love when they come in to get colors and cuts! They are so patient and understanding with me. Shout out to the LAKE house! Love those girls.
